It is-5 out today with wind chills as low as -25. If it does not sound cold, I should mention that this is Fahrenheit. Celsius temperatures would be -25 with -31 wind chill. Either way, it is certainly cold.
The weight versus comfort battle goes on and I was checking out my sleeping bag again and considering if I should just waterproof the stuff sack, get a dry sack or just a really big zip lock bag. I slept once in a wet sleeping bag and that was enough.
I tend to like to be warm rather than cold if I have to choose and there for figure the 55 degree bag will work out well. Just to make sure, I checked back on last year’s weather to see how it ran. I am pleased to say, that I should hopefully be in a sweet spot of being warm, but not hot.
Of course the weather is reliable as… well… the weather.
